ABOUT ME
Hey! I’m Katie, and I’m here to work alongside you to build healthy habits that’ll literally change your life.

I’ve always had such a deep love for health and fitness. As a teen, I found that exercise was a game-changer when it came to managing my anxiety, and eventually my interest in nutrition became piqued as a side-effect of this love. I loved learning about the way nutrition could be used to improve health, performance and longevity.
Eventually, I took the leap, studying my Cert III in Fitness before getting a gig at my local F45 Training Centre, where I worked for four years.

After obtaining my Cert IV in Fitness, I became a qualified Personal Trainer, and though I loved jumping into this field, I found there was a common air of misinformation, lack of knowledge, and just blatant lies - especially when it came to nutrition.

And that’s how I ended up here. I underwent Nutrition Studies through Vast Fitness Academy, before registering with the Nutrition Council of Australia. Later, I became a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Coach and, evidently, created my own little business:
Healthy Habits by Katie.
Through my own personal experience, I’m extremely passionate about helping others to develop a healthy relationship with food, exercise, sleep, lifestyle and mindset in order to create a long-term lifestyle shift that’s sustainable. I want to help you to ditch fad diets, detoxes and trends, by using habits to create a truly balanced lifestyle.
And I’m certain I can help you, because I’ve been there. In my own life, I’ve fallen victim to those pesky 8-Week Challenges that encourage diet restrictions, cutting out whole food groups, severely cutting calories and over-exercising. I’ve fallen into a cycle of binge eating and restrictive yo-yo dieting, and I hated every second of how it made me feel. Later, I became a mum, and was thrown into a whole other world of misinformation and proposed ‘quick fixes’. This led me to beginning further study in Pre and Post-Natal Coaching through Girls Gone Strong, which will allow me to help women through one of those most transformative times of their lives.
Because of this, I didn’t see a whole heap of results, and kept simply putting it down to the fact that I wasn’t doing enough. This is why I do what I do: I want Healthy Habits by Katie to be the guidance I wish I’d had when I was going through it myself.

Now, my focus is to work alongside other health professionals to help you to regain your health and confidence, not just in the gym, but in your everyday life. I know what it’s like to miss out on the best parts of life because you’re busy worrying about how ‘not good enough’ you are. I want to work with my clients to enhance themselves from within: both for themselves and the people around them.
